You think you know. But you don't. You can't even begin to understand what you're about to get into when you open this book up to page one. This is easily the best read of the year so far for me. I can't even pinpoint one thing about it that makes it utterly fantastic. It's just a culmination of everything together. The pain. The lust. The love. The unbearable heartache. The need for revenge. The only question to answer in this book is: What happens when you are within reach to fulfill your self-professed destiny, only to have your true destiny sideswipe everything?Sela Halstead has a mission. Not to take back what is hers, because that can never be returned or mended, but to wholeheartedly destroy the man who destroyed her life. Who she is, is not who she was meant to be. She is a ghost of herself, living day to day until the man who stole the sparkle from her eye flashes across her TV. Sela knows what she has to do. The only thing that may make her feel alive again... But she wasn't counting on Beckett. JT's business partner, and best friend. Nothing could have prepared her for the true feeling of living again that Beckett brings out in her. But has she lost sight of what she came here to do, or will she find a renewed sense of revenge despite the new life she's been given?
Everything about this book gripped me. Sela is a character that you want to cheer for so badly. You need her to be happy, but she has this side to her that you will understand, but want her to fight so badly. Then there's Beckett. I feel so desperately in book-love with him. But in the end no one in this book is perfect, but that's what made it so real and intense. Of course, Ms. Bennett takes so liberties with the dramatics, but again, that's what makes it fiction, and mind-blowing fiction, at that. But between Sela, Beckett and JT you vaguely know who to root for, but they all toe the line at times. What this book will leave with is a hurting heart and tears. It's a doozy of a cliffhanger, but I. LOVED. IT. If you hate cliffhangers, you HAVE be warned. Though I'd just say embrace it. Take this rollercoaster book on for all it's worth, because I can guarantee you, you'll be left gasping for more, but you'll also have found a new favorite read. So, obviously I recommend this book. To everyone. It really shouldn't be missed.
Happy Reading!

Sugar Daddy A Sugar Bowl Novel edition by Sawyer Bennett Romance eBooks Reviews
3.5/5 stars
Sugar Daddy is the first book in the steamy Sugar Bowl trilogy. These books are contemporary romance.
The narrators are Sela and Beck. She is a 26 year old student. He is a wealthy businessman/programmer.
Something really bad happens to Sela when she is 16. And now 10 years later she is still struggling.
I really liked Sela. She was badass and awesome. I also liked Beck. However, it really bugged me that he was friends with such a scumbag (JT).
The book is fun and dangerous and extremely sexy. This is not really the type of book I would usually go for. Beck and his business partner JT own a dating site where there are Sugar Daddies and Sugar Babies. This book is full of sex. There is definitely a story. But there is also a ton of sex (many people will love this about the book, it's just not what I prefer). However, Sela has sinister motives. And that is what I loved about this book. I love the darker aspects of the story. The revenge plot is what makes this story different. I just wish the book was more focused on the story.
I did enjoy this book. The story really intrigued me. There is a big cliffhanger ending, which I absolutely loved. I really want to know what happens next. I am hoping that the next book will focus more on the story. However, if you love steamy reads then check this book out.
The excerpt of this book grabbed me (not to mention all of the five star reviews). I cannot understand how this is a three part series. So much time was wasted with ridiculous sex scenes. I am no prude, but the scenes got so tired and tedious. While I understand the beginning of their relationship was purely based on sexual attraction, it blossoms into more. Unfortunately you don't get the opportunity to understand their real connection because it just hops from sex scene to sex scene.
I was actually kind of confused when they introduced her father into the mix since he was absent the first half of the book leaving the reader to assume he either passed or they have no relationship. And what father would be so cavalier about their daughter dating a pimp (yes, Beck and TJ are pimps)?
I didn't care for how little we see of the ways the gang rape impacted Sela and her desire for revenge gets so muddied in this book I forgot she even sought revenge.
Beck's reaction to her revelation about TJ was so out of character. He's this loving guy to Sela and then all of a sudden becomes an uncaring jerk? Come on.
I won't be purchasing the last two books because this all could have been wrapped up in one book.
