Wow. I love that this author has taken what we know and love from the teen dystopian franchises and mixed our with something unique and terrifyingly beautiful. In this third installment, we follow Rosa as she comes to grips with the distorted reality she lives in. Only, to find that things she has come to believe as truth aren't. And the Superiors & survivors are more closely related than she could ever believe.

Kind of slow in some spots, but the action and thriller in this tale are amazing. And as a reader, you will find yourself so thoroughly engrossed in this story that you won't want anybody to interrupt you. Can wait for more from this author.

This is a wonderful series and is worth it to read. I love the way Lauren Nicolle Taylor takes you on a ride and you never get off, even in the end you want more. This is very romantic but with each twist you are hoping for the best. This book made me cry and laugh. Please read this series, you won't be sorry.
Amazing, absolutely amazing! I found The Woodlands on a daily deal and thought I would give it a try. It took my breath away! A dystopian future society that left you wondering, where is this, who are these people? Characters that made you love them and hate them all at the same time. I was lucky enough that the second book in the series had been already released and could delve right into the next installment, The Wall. The imagery that saturated the pages pulled me into their world. You can smell, feel and experience the world that Rosa and Joseph live in. This series has got it all! This book, The Wounded, the third in The Woodlands Series, has lived up to my anticipation and exceeded all expectations. As I got closer and closer to the end I kept thinking to myself, "No, it can't end!" You have me hooked! I will be anxiously awaiting the fourth in this series.
I have to say most series start out good and then kind of go down hill from there. It's so frustrating for me to get so involved and invested in the main characters and then either by the 3rd book you don't really like them anymore or you do and they die. It really makes me mad to think I invested how much time into these book and for what to feel like I got punched in the stomach by the end. Well Lauren Nicole Taylor is not like that she is clever, smart, and has the best writing style that I have come across. Thank you for your brilliant mind and fabulous writing. This series just gets better and better with each book!!! If I wish I could give it 10stars. Best book 2014! I hope this makes to the big screen.
Rosa became more easy to relate to. She was still hard headed, quick tempered, and could not control her tongue. But now she had Joseph, Orry, and Rash to keep her sane and happy. She loves her family and does whatever is necessary to protect them. There were times I wish she could have just kept her mouth shut but I love how "the beautiful blonde man" always kept her grounded.
Great series, and The Wounded does not disappoint. From the first book, The Woodlands, I could picture this as a movie. It's an intense distopian story, with many ups and downs, yet it's nice to see the characters grow and develop from book one, to now, book three. I thought this was going to be the last in the series...but happily, it will not be. I may have to re-read all of them until that happens. Highly recommend this book (and author)!
I loved this book as much as the first two and can't wait to read the last one. The only criticism I have is the occasional bad language, and there were quite a few grammatical errors. I really don't understand what writers think foul language adds to a story, but at least it was minimal in this book. The story would have been just as good without it. I hate to finish the series because I am enjoying it so much, but I also can't wait to see how it all ends!
I read the first book for free and was hooked, buying each next volume as soon as I finished the previous book. I was sad when I finished them all. This is a gripping story and well written. I'm so glad I discovered this author and look forward to reading more of her work.
